Great fruit and vegetables at Bajloni Greenmarket

My airbnb is located right in front a massive vegetable & fruit market, the Bajloni Greenmarket. It’s one of the biggest markets in Belgrade and definitely worth a visit! The market is located in the old part of the city known as Dorćol and is open Monday through Sunday. The closer it gets to the weekend, the busier it gets and the more stalls are open. At the market you’ll find lots of fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, household goods and heaps more.

I’ve been casually browsing the market a handful of times and was surprised by its prices. Fruit and vegetables are a lot cheaper then those offered at the supermarket. Most stalls have clear signs displaying their prices and everyone I got to interact with was lovely. I ended up getting three paprika’s, two tomatoes and three to four apples for roughly $0.80.

I got my apples at this woman’s lovely stall. The apples were delicious and she had a great variety of apples to choose from.

If you happen to be in the area I highly recommend you to check out Bajloni Greenmarket. Whatever it is that you are looking for you’d probably end up finding it there at a great price!
