A Guide To Vegan Food In Krakow

Krakow is an incredibly vegan-friendly city. This brief guide will show you where you can find the best (and most affordable!) vegan food in Krakow.

Vegab – Delicious vegan kebabs

At Vegab I had one of the best vegan kebabs I ever had! Prices for kebabs start at around 16 złoty. Don’t be fooled though, their “regular” Kebabs are HUGE!

There isn’t a lot of seating, it’s more of a takeaway place. There are enough seats available though should you decide to hang around. If you are into kebab and are VERY hungry, then I highly recommend checking it out!

Mihiderka – Vegan burgers and more

This place took me by surprise. Mihiderka has a small menu and offers burgers, stews, desserts, smoothies and more. I had the “Texan” burger and it’s the biggest and best burger I ever had.

The burger was 19 złoty and came with raw carrot slices. I also ordered a small portion of fries with vegan mayo for 6 złoty, which I split with my man. The restaurant itself is super cozy, the staff is lovely and everyone that I was with loved the food.

Everything that they serve is 100% plant-based, which I absolutely love! The best part? Each burger comes with two sauces of your choice! If you are a lover of burgers and/or stews, then definitely check out Mihiderka!

Mrs. & Mr. Zapiekanka – traditional polish street food

Zapiekanka is a sandwich and usually topped with mushrooms, cheese, and other ingredients. It’s served a sauce on top (usually ketchup) and is a very popular street food in Poland.

Mrs. & Mr. Zapiekanka is located on the main square at Plac Nowy 4b/19, Krakow 31-045, Poland, and offers customizable Zapiekanka! You can choose your bread, base, vegetables, and sauce.

I went with wholemeal (unfortunately they were out), chose tomato sauce, no cheese, no meat and went with mushrooms, jalapeno pepper and topped it all off with Mexican sauce.

The result was freakin’ delicious! The best part? It was only 5 złoty! If you are looking for regular (but vegan!) Zapiekanka then I highly recommend giving Mrs. & Mr. Zapiekanka a try!
