The dreamiest tea house ever!

My partner mentioned a tea house that supposedly feels like you are sitting in tiny tree-houses. I was intrigued. A tea place with a tree-house feel? Yesss! The funny thing about this place is that it doesn’t look like much from the outside and the sign to the left of the door is super small. It’s also located in the basement and therefore relatively easy to miss. The tea-house is in a fairly central location, on Bródy Sándor u. 13 and when we went it was packed with locals.

Sirius Teahaz specializes in tea and has almost 80 different types. They also offer coffee and hot chocolates, all of which looked delicious. What’s special about this tea-house is its atmosphere and its seats – you can sit on chair, a cutty-stool, a cushion or lain down in one of the galleries that you can book prior to visiting.

Upon entering the tea-house you see the bar, were tea is brewed and coffee made as well as regular tables and chairs. The fun starts when you take a turn to the left and enter through a door. It felt like entering a completely different place, it was magical. I took my coat off and everyone was reminded by a couple of signs to take off their shoes.

The space was filled with pillows, small tables, ladders leading up to tiny rooms and small doors you could go through.

This is a cupboard through which you can walk to other rooms.

I spotted a dark brown cupboard and was wondering what was inside it and so I stepped in. I entered a room filled with tiny mirrors which led to another room where people were sitting and enjoying tea.

I am so glad I went, it’s such a cosy, relaxing and very romantic place. It’s perfect for enjoying a cup of tea with a loved one. Most of their teas were around 850 HUF and everything else was a little cheaper. The tea that I got was “only nature”, a beautiful blend of herbs and fruit. If you happen to be in Budapest and are a lover of tea then I highly recommend checking it out šŸ™‚
