In this post, I am going to share with you the best vegan restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. Almost all of these restaurants are 100% vegan. The word for “vegetarian” in Vietnamese is simply “chay”. Whenever you see this word on a local eatery you know that they are only going to be serving vegetarian food. I highly recommend downloading and saving a v-card onto your phone. Simply search for Vietnamese and take a screenshot of it.
Phúc Quang Chay
This place stole my heart. It’s a small eatery that’s a 100% vegan. I tried their Spring rolls for 40,000 VND and Pad Thai for 55,000 VND and both of them were the best ones I’ve ever had in my life. They offer vegan ice cream, juices, soups and heaps of dishes. Appetizers are around 40,000 VND and mains are around 50,000 VND. I loved this place so much and highly recommend checking it out.

Chan Nhu II
Chan Nhu II is a super small vegetarian eatery and almost everything is vegan. The only item I am not sure if is the cacao milk. I had heaps of dishes at Chan Nhu II and my favorite one is definitely the vegan pho with mushrooms for 25,000 VND. They also have a vegan Banh Mi for 15,000 VND. Everything on their menu is between 15,000 and 40,000 VND.

Phở Chay Như
Pho Chay Nhu is a really small and inconspicuous place in the center of the city. I was running errands nearby and stopped by for lunch. I ordered Pho for 35,000 VND and really enjoyed it. Everything is vegan except for yogurt. Have a look at their reviews on Happy Cow, everyone seems to be raving about their Pho!

Hoa Thien
What a place! While it may be a little hard to get to, it’s so worth it. Hoa Tien is a Vegan Vietnamese restaurant and yes, everything is 100% vegan. Most mains are between 35,000 and 50,000 VND and if you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend checking it out. PS: I found this gem by browsing through Happy Cow.

Banana’s Juice Shop
Banana’s Juice Shop has a huge variety of smoothies and juices and most smoothies are between 25,000 and 40,000 VND. The portions are huge and they even add big junks of fruit to the bottom of your smoothie! Banana’s Juice Shop has hands down the best smoothies ever. If you love smoothies, make sure to check it out!

Halo
The night before I left, I spontaneously decided to go to Halo. Halo is a small 100% vegan eatery that offers rice dishes, noodle soups, and heaps more. They also offer vegan ice cream (made with coconut milk) for 15,000 VND in a great variety of flavours. I ordered the Clay pot rice for 40,000 VND and the “coconut” ice cream – both were absolutely delicious. While their reviews on Happy Cow are mixed, I highly recommend checking it out. The Clay pot rice was one of the best meals I had while in Ho Chi Minh City!
